Semper ExcelsiusSemper Excelsius is more than just our tagline; it is our rallying cry, an exhortation, a promise, and a commitment to the pursuit of excellence – in ourselves and the young minds we touch.
With every new discovery, we appreciate the ever-growing complexity of this world. Flourishing in this digitally advanced, globally connected universe demands a level of hands-on proficiency that can only come with hands-on experience and a 'can-do' attitude to complement it.
Asheville World School was has been conceived with the belief that within every student lies potential for greatness; fulfilling that potential is our mandate. Our teaching methodologies, our infrastructure, the disciplines we offer and excel in, are all integral to our goal. It is our endeavour to inculcate the 'Semper Excelsius' attitude in all our students, sparking their curiosity, awakening a thirst for knowledge and quenching that thirst by teaching them how and why rather than what.
The education we impart is not an end but a prepared beginning to diverse challenges of this world; indeed, a journey of discovery that once begun will never end.
From the Principal's DeskA student today is a potential leader of tomorrow. To endow her or him with knowledge and necessary life skills and polish the innate abilities that she or he is born with is a responsibility we take seriously at Asheville World School. We deem it to be our highest priority to contextualise his intellectual sense so he may put it to the best use in every situation that life may confront him with.
To equip our students thus, we at Asheville World School take the approach of practical teaching that goes a long way not only in their memory, but also understanding and the application of their learning. For this very reason, we have in place processes through which trained teachers use scientific child-centred teaching approaches. In addition, our well-managed classrooms and skillful assessment facilitate learning and reduce disparities. The outcome: knowledge, skills and attitudes, which are positively linked to national goals for education and positive participation in society.
To all the anxious parents who seek the best possible education for their wards, I hope our beliefs, ethos and infrastructure, apart from our promise of quality learning, provide comfort. And to all the clear slated minds that we receive this year in the young students, we welcome them with open arms and vow to support them and give them the best opportunities so they can grow and flourish into excellent individuals of high dignity.
